Prague, Czech Republic

We spent the 4th of July with friends in Prague. It is such a pretty city and amazing to think that 25 years ago it was behind the Iron Curtain. We have met several good friends here from Czech and it is so interesting speaking to them about diffferences of then and now. It would have been really neat to be among the first tourists there after the curtain fell. It is a huge touristy town (everyone seems to speak English - I guess simply due to the fact that no tourists know how to speak Czech). It was super hot when we were there and so we tried to find as much shade as possible. It was fun though and I definitely love only living 2 hours from there - such a plus!!!

My friend that we went with is huge fan of food traveling, and so she found this restaurant for lunch that came highly recommended (You gotta love Czech too because everything is so reasonable!)

This view reminds me so much of the Cathedral in  Bamberg (Prague is Bamberg's Sister City.)

I love the old street cars - but I have no idea what the driving rules are when they pull up next to you - it always makes me a little nervous :-)

Mia and I saw this horse last Halloween - so nice to see them in the Summer too :-)
