Our Weekend

The Wine festival was fun! They had live music and lots of regional wine

Always bustling!!!

We had a fun weekend. There is always so much to do here, and even after 6 years, we are still finding plenty of new places to go and things to do. One thing is for sure - Germans do not hang out inside when the weather is nice. It is always bustling outside and people are enjoying life! On Friday night, Camden and Mia spent the night with friends, so Bailey, Bryan and I went to my favorite restaurant location in all of Bamberg to sit and people watch. On Saturday, while the kids were each off with friends, Bryan and I went hiking with some of our friends. It is so nice, because there are so many hiking trails and they are also always combined with some type of restaurant.  On Sunday, we went to the Wine Festival in town. Have I mentioned I love it here :-)??????
Bailey at my favorite place in Bamberg

This is the view from one side of the retaurant (we have spent many evenings here with good friends and good conversation :-) !)

This is the view from the other side (our favorite table is to the left)

The walk home - a beautiful sunset, a bustling street. We smiled, because the wine festival was this weekend, and people had bottles of wine and wine glasses - just enjoying the evening on the bridge. It is a cool because cars and bikers cross it, yet pedestrians hang out on it as if it is a park :-)

gorgeous sunset on the river

Our hike up to Burg Rabeneck

The forest was nice and cool

neat rock formations to walk through

at the top! It is funny though, because usually the castles/fortresses are public here. This is a private residence though - so we couldn't go in. This would be a pretty neat private residence :-)

A cute little Organic Farm along the way that served lunch

We ordered Flammen kuchen - one of my favorites!!!

Then we had to walk off our lunch

so pretty!!!!

A great day for hiking!!!
