Canoeing Pics - Pegnitz River

There is something so peaceful about canoeing... (especially when no rapids are involved :-))

The Pegnitz River brings you through adorable scenery (cute houses, immense rocks to climb, and lots of forest!)

lots of bridges to go under...

We had to get out a few times and pull the canoe to avoid going over small dams..

My cute "canoers"...

a little Swan family along the way...
There were several huge rock walls along the route...

This was the cutest idea ever (at one of our stops along the way). There was a bucket with lots of fun outdoor equipment sitting underneath the ping pong table...

In the box was was a note that read something like: please enjoy the contents of this box. When you are finished, just put the box  back under the ping pong table so the next people can enjoy. Courtesy of house #'s _, _, and _.  So adorable! A couple of families got together to put the box together. Everything was in perfect condition, which meant that so far everyone was taking good care of it. What a nice treat for the kids to be able to play!

The map on the right shows our little canoe route..

In some places, the water was quite shallow

A little critter along the way - so cute!

Almost there!

And a little castle at the end - so neat to think about how many families this river has seen!

A fantastic Day!
