Caves, Wine Fest and Pizza!

After the ropes course on the first day, we were recommended a pizza place that was fantastic! The owner spoke excellent English and was able to provide us with some ideas of things to do that were a bit more off the beaten path. We liked it so much, that we ended up going back again at the end of the week.

One day we went to see a cave - it is a really neat story... A man in the village was trying to fill up a hole that he dug and no matter how much  fill he put in, it never filled. They discovered an entire cave system that kids used to play in and they named it "the Kingdom".

Below where we stood in the photo above was this amazing sight!

Surprisingly, it was warmer underground than above ground!

A little village that we stopped in - they all seemed to look like this - so authentic!

Mia at the he entrance to the Wine Festival. Our Pizza friend recommended  this as a place to go. We later found out that 20,000 people also attended the fest... It all seemed to be locals though (no tourists other than us :-))

Every wine taster received one of these to go around their neck (if you look closely, you can see a glass tucked in). You could duck into many of the cellars in the village for a tasting

The food at the Fest was delicious too!

And the view from the Hilltop was gorgeous!

Felt a little bit like the middle ages :-)

And these 4 sweet faces kept up - even with the cold weather!

A really fun experience!

The view of the village where the wine Fest was held...

Gracisce was the name of the town...
